Due to some scheduled surgery this past week I had to ‘Take Five’ from coming up with my next post on our journey down the Hickman family road.
This timeless piece from 1959 written in 5 /4 time has become one of the biggest-selling jazz songs of all time.

Enjoyed this song so much more than the last one. Stay well.
I remember this!!!
Prayers for healing as you Take Five.
Thanks for all your time and research you put into these posts. Lynn
Loved your family stories and especially the colorful lives of your three aunts!! What a memorable young life you lived! One little note from my husband, George’s family — his mom and auntie used to have some guitar playing visitors come by in the evenings to ‘jam’ — one Leonard Sly and his buddy — of course, Leonard Sly later became know as Roy Rogers! What fun!
I remember this song, but could not have told you the title! I usually enjoy the easy listening type of jazz songs – they somehow take you away to some faraway place – very cool!
Take care, Brad. Will be thinking of you prayerfully while trusting in our loving God to see you through the surgery — especially with the loving care from (your) Linda!
Peace be with you!
I can’t believe you have the album! Love this classic! Thanks for sharing!
Enjoying the Hickman family road so much!
I hope your surgery went well, Brad.
